What is Grand Choice?
Grand Choice is a participatory budgeting initiative which means that local people get to decide how public funds are used to address needs in their area. Community Planning partners have pooled their resources to fund community projects.
Local people can apply for up to £1,000 for a project they think will benefit their area - and best of all, it is the local residents who decide which projects should go ahead!

Grand Choice Lisburn North DEA
Lisburn North Grand Choice Shortlisted Applications.
The Market Place event for the Grand Choice participatory budgeting initiative in Lisburn North will be held on Saturday 17 October 2026 in St Columba’s Derryvolgie, Belsize Road, Lisburn.
We are delighted to have shortlisted 28 Applications who will see you on the day of the event to showcase their project. The local community are invited to come along to show support and cast their vote for their favourite project, helping these local groups deliver a project to benefit the Lisburn North area.
Representatives from various agencies will also attend on the day to give advice and guidance to the local community on areas such as crime prevention, health and wellbeing and much, much more.
Each of the projects due to exhibit on the day are listed below:
